Hurray!!! CSK lost IPL5...

Hello Frenzzz....

I've been thinking to write a post on my adda since long, but was busy shuffling between home and office. Today I write  to share my happiness over the defeat of CSK in IPL. Yess I'm not happy because KKR won the match as I'm supporter of MI, but yes jubilant over the defeat of CSK!!!

I somehow was not glad about CSK making to the play offs and this feeling got even stronger when CSK defeated MI in the qualifiers. I felt Dhoni was just lucky to win all the games or the opposite teams were unlucky as they lost the matches even after performing very well. Let it be DD or MI they were performing consistently very good through out the series. These two teams loosing in qualifiers was very disappointing for me. I always wonder why Dhoni gets the whole credit irrespective the game is played by 11 players.

As Dhoni who comes in the last few overs of the innings takes away the whole credit of winning the match just by hitting a six or four. This is increasing his strike rate and the market rate from his brands. This is not fair, what about the openers and the middle order who play so well and try to keep less runs for the down order. What about the bowlers who bowl so very well in the whole game (oops... I take my words back.... I know how talented our Indian bowlers are!!)

My husband frequently argues with me saying that he made India win World Cup, but what about the games India lost after the WC. World champions consistently losing all the International matches is very shame!

Anyways I wanted CSK to loose the finals and they lost.... and from now on I'm going to post frequently.... keep visiting and shoot your valuable comments.

Cheers,
Vrinda

When ever I hear this word one thing comes in to my mind immediately is, the New York City. Apart from being my favorite place, this place has also added some beautiful memories in to my diary. I can never forget the Friday evenings I spent in that city. Sometimes with my friends (most of the time by myself) we used to walk down the street just like that. Have fun talking on the roads, looking at the people from different nations, eating food what not?  One Penn Plaza  I used to work at  Manhattan  (heart of the city) in One Penn plaza. It is 54 storied building,  shares the same street with Empire state building.  It was fun working in a desi company, but surrounded mostly by Mexicans. They are very friendly people though, very sweet and believe me most of the girls are damn gorgeous.  Macys was adjacent to my work place, I used to get in that tall 9 storied building and spend some hours walking around the displays. I have bought many gifts for...

T is for Time

Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) is referred to solar time at royal observatory in Greenwich , London . I’ve been to this place in the year 2008 on my B’day. This pic is little blurred, as I cropped it and made some changes for a better view of this clock.  Greenwich clock with  standard measurements down there. There is a meridian line where you can at a time be on 2 different poles of earth (North Pole and South Pole). If you are in UK and never visited this place, then please go and visit it. If you are visiting UK then don't miss this place. It's fun to be here, esp for kids. This post is posted at Alphabe- Thursday . Cheers, Vrinda.

Mellow Yellow Monday # 6, Thursday Challenge 9

One of my favorite festivals is Diwali. It's after four yours I'm in India during this festival. This festival is celebrated due to triumph of  good over evil. During school days I used to burn the crackers, enjoy till dawn with friends and have fun with noisy fireworks.  In Sanskrit Diwali or Deepavali means "row of lights". You find lamps in front of most of the houses through out India. This is the resemblance of spirit and unity of the country. This festival is also known for Lakshmi pooja (Goddess of wealth) who helps attain health, wealth, peace and prosperity to the family. Firecrackers come in different varieties  from the delightfully visual ones to the ear deafening noisy ones. Standard type of crackers include Flower pots, Bhoo chakra (Ground wheel), Vishnu chakra and Rockets. I've taken many snaps, among all this is my favorite shot.  These are my snaps for this week  Mellow Yellow Monday  and  Thu...
