T is for Time

Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) is referred to solar time at royal observatory in Greenwich, London. I’ve been to this place in the year 2008 on my B’day. This pic is little blurred, as I cropped it and made some changes for a better view of this clock.

Greenwich clock with  standard measurements down there.

There is a meridian line where you can at a time be on 2 different poles of earth (North Pole and South Pole).

If you are in UK and never visited this place, then please go and visit it. If you are visiting UK then don't miss this place. It's fun to be here, esp for kids. This post is posted at Alphabe- Thursday.

Cheers,
Vrinda.

Very informative, on a thing I have heard so much, so long, but, of which I knew so little. Good that you found time to visit and share the sight. Something that didn't occur to me during my 3 years in the UK, in the 1960s.

A cool place to visit, if you have the time.

Oh, and it would be remiss of me not to say Happy Presidents Pets Day - the day after Presidents Day, as I like to call it. In the US, we love our presidents..... pets. See my blog if you’re in the mood for a good ol' irreverent howl.

I will never be able to hear that phrase now without seeing your neat pictures in my mind!

What an absolutely terrific stop on our little journey through Alphabe-Thursday's letter "T".

This was quite fascinating.

A+
